Glendale Comm. College

Glendale Community College (GCC) is part of Maricopa County Community College District, the largest community college district in the United States.

Keen to retain its competitive advantage in the development of the West Valley, GCC commissioned the Seidman Research Institute in partnership with the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College to implement a comprehensive stakeholder needs analysis, targeted at employers and educational constituencies.

The study included:

• An online survey and depth interviews with lead employers in the Valley;
• Industry and occupational needs projections;
• A survey of high school guidance counselors at the Community College’s top 25 feeder high schools; and
• Focus groups with prospective students.
