Economic Forecast

The Greater Phoenix Blue Chip offers forecasts by a panel of experts who track general economic trends for the Phoenix metro area (defined as Maricopa and Pinal Counties).

The panel consists of the ASU Economic Outlook Center, EconLit LLC, Elliott D. Pollack & Co., the Joint Legislative Budget Committee, Rounds Consulting, Southwest Growth Partners, The Maguire Company, and the University of Arizona Eller College.

The individual forecasts and the consensus outlook are updated quarterly.  They show annual percentage change projections for population, personal income, retail sales, wage and salary employment, manufacturing employment, and construction employment in 2026 and 2027.  The most recent update was September 2026.
