Televerde/Arouet Foundation

Televerde is a global demand generation company with headquarters in Phoenix and a global footprint.  The firm’s business model is based in part on training, education, and jobs for incarcerated women, both while in prison and after they are released.  Their partner, the Arouet Foundation, is a non-profit empowering women and families impacted by the justice system to build strong communities. 

In 2019-2020, Seidman was commissioned to estimate the economic, social and fiscal impact of this program for recipients, their families, and the State of Arizona.

The study draws from primary survey data, and also secondary data sourced from the Arizona Department of Corrections, the Bureau of Justice Statistics, and the Brookings Institution (among others).

An IMPLAN input-output model, customized for the State of Arizona was used to estimate economic impact.
