Waste Management Inc

With environmental issues increasingly influencing the national psyche, the waste management industry faces growing pressure from all sectors of society to re-evaluate work practices and focus more upon integrated waste management.  To meet this challenge, Waste Management Inc. commissioned The Seidman Institute in July 2010 to:

  • Identify the latest trends within waste management services, categorized by key customer segment, which could impact upon the company’s core business operations over the next 5-10 years;
  • Analyze the impact of these changes upon the company’s waste stream and waste disposal services; and
  • Briefly highlight areas worthy of further research.

Drawing from in-depth interviews with internal senior managers and key external customers/stakeholders, supplemented by an extensive review of secondary sources and research, the Seidman Research Institute was pleased to deliver a definitive action plan within 3 weeks of project commencement, to enable the company to retain its market leadership in North America.
