Catholic Charities

First established in Phoenix in 1933, Catholic Charities Community Services is a major social service agency serving up to 100,000 people each year in Central and Northern Arizona.

Consistent with their mission to help the community’s most vulnerable with solutions that permanently improve lives, Catholic Charities in 2015 implemented 22 programs in Central and Northern Arizona, including MANA House, a foster care program, counselling, veterans services, and a federally-funded refugee resettlement program.  Approximately 30% of the nonprofit’s annual contributions are invested in educational and family support programs, 15% in housing stability programs, and 11% in foster care services.

In fall 2016, Seidman was commissioned to implement an environmental scan and competitive analysis of Catholic Charities Community Services’ Central and Northern Arizona service areas. This included a demographic overview of the two service areas; an analysis of current human services nonprofit operations and revenue sources; individual funding comparisons; and the identification of potential future funding sources.
